The position will be part of the Solution and Delivery department who provides the inhouse development and solution architecture functions, they build and improve their in house developed applications and application integrations for both in house and 3rd party applications.

Responsibilities

Junior Architect CMDB

• Accuracy and Completeness of the CMDB – The CMDB records and defines the architecture, tooling and interconnectivity of the organisation. This role will take ownership of the CMDB, ensuring the contents remains accurate and evolving its scope and schema to reflect the growth. The role will be ultimately responsible for the accuracy of this data and cooperate with Solution Architects to agree schemas and various stakeholders to collect data.
• Integration and automation of the CMDB with consuming applications and activities – The CMBD is used to define objects in the service desk, interface to Important Business Services (IBSs), reports for regulators and audit, etc. This role will require understanding those downstream applications and their users, ensure their data is captured needs supported and automating their delivery wherever possible.
• Solution Architecture Work – Creation of Blueprints and Solution Designs and supporting documentations to reflect assigned project work and architectural transitions. The role will need to take requirements input from the BAs or the business directly, create the deliverable documents and process them through Architecture Review (ARF). The role then stays attached to projects to assist in delivery, queries, budget issues, etc.
• Systems, Business and Process Understanding – The role will seek to understand and document the technology estate at. Create and share documentation in an accessible format and work to improve the general understanding the IT Architecture.
• Stakeholder Management – The role will need to collect, contrast and balance a range of stakeholder inputs to both the CMDB and Solution Designs. The role must seek the best, long term, strategic outcome in these
• Forum Attendance – The role will attend, contribute and in some cases steer a number of governance forums including ARF, Change Advisory Board (CAB) and per-project forums.
• Architecture Support Activities - Supports RFI and RFP creation as required, strategy input, guidance to test team, architecture map input, etc.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience of solution design, documentation and architecture
• The use and optimisation of relevant tooling

It would be beneficial if you had the following:

• Use of Jira for Software and/or Jira Service Desk.
• Use of Draw.IO and similar tools
• Relevant architectural qualifications (TOGAF, etc.)
• Experience of Financial Services of other regulated industries
• Hands-On technical background or experience
